I went to an American Civil War reenactment…in Poland. Recorded people to try to make sense of America back then and how it’s viewed today on its 250th birthday.
Turns out many Poles fought in/for America, both North and South. I talk to a famous Prussian soldier who fought for the South, or rather, I recorded his ghost.
America IS war (230 of its 250 years in conflicts). Every American living today was born during an American conflict aboard.
The not-so-United States was split North and South, now a new civil war is taking place between Left and Right—Red vs Blue instead of a united Red White and Blue. And best seen from a distance, in space and time.
